Chelsea and England midfield Rueben Loftus-Cheek was reported to be seeking a permanent move away from the Bridge after making barely three starts in the current football season, with West ham touted as his likely destination.

However, reports according to the Mirror reveals that Sarri will block all exit efforts as he is of the opinion that the three lion’s midfielder will be crucial for the club in the closing stages of the football calendar. Loftus-Cheek reminded the Italian tactician of his quality with a stunning hat-trick in Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Belarussian side Bate Borisov in the Europa league.

The player’s agent has also revealed that the 22yr old could leave the club if his game time does not improve. Sarri is yet to hand him a league start in the current season, and West ham waits on the lines to pounce on him in the event Chelsea puts him up for sale.

Loftus-Cheek aware of the current state of things at Chelsea has talked about his future and while several analyst have suggested he live the club.

‘I hear it a lot, and I can see why people are saying that, because I’m 22 now and haven’t got too many Premier League starts to my name,’ Loftus-Cheek said. ‘I haven’t played too many minutes, whether it be in the Premier League and the Championship, and at 22 it’s not seen as enough by some people. I do hear it. I love the club and I love Chelsea, I want to play for Chelsea. ‘Last season [moving to Palace on loan] was a decision I made because I hadn’t played any football really, at the age of 21, and last season was great for me at Palace – 24 [appearances] I think I had in the Premier League, and then to go on and make my England debut. I made a lot of steps last year. ‘Playing football was massive for me and you can see why people want to see me play, and I want to play as well.’
