The arrival of Jorginho to the Bridge could spell doom for Timoue Bakayoko, as Starsports reported that Maurizio Sarri plans to offload the 40 million pounds flop, as he begins his onslaught of players who are surplus to requirement at the London based club.
Chelsea boasts of midfielders such as Fabregas, Kante, Drinkwater and Bakayoko, but Bakayoko is easily been identified as the possible player to make way for Jorginho. The French footballer joined Chelsea after a dominant spell with Monaco in 2017, but failed to leave up to expectation in his first season and could be faced with a possible departure with the arrival of the Italian-Brazilian footballer.
Bakayoko might be forced to seek a move away from the Bridge, as he seeks to rebuild his football reputation. It is believed that the Frenchman and Jorginho plays in the same position at the middle of the park, but the consistency of the former Napoli player in his previous seasons could be a strong factor. Jorginho was starter under Maurizio Sarri during his time in Italy, and will be expected to be above the Frenchman in the pecking order.
The 57 million pounds player possesses huge tactical master-class with his incredible passing style which was key to Napoli’s football. The 26yr old midfielder contributed to 7 goals last season, with 3 goals and 4 assists in his 41 appearance with club.
Despite the huge uncertainty surrounding Bakayoko at Chelsea, football analysts have advised him to remain at the bridge and fight for his place with many anticipating a midfield trio involving him, Kante and Jorginho.
