Wayne Rooney has voiced out his opinion, amidst speculated rift between Pogba and Mourinho. Pogba’s quality was questioned after the 3-2 defeat to Brighton, and this generated rift between the Frenchman’s agent and Scholes.

The Former Manchester united center forward has backed the World cup winner to excel at the theatre of dreams, but says the Frenchman must improve from his below par performance.

The France international, in his post-reaction after Brighton loss admitted that he was culprit for lacking focus, he revealed that he could be fined by the club if he discloses his relationship status with the current Manchester united boss in his post-match reaction against Leicester city.

Mourinho in his press conference on Friday invited Pogba to clarify his comment, but Rooney, who spend two season believes the Frenchman should proves critics wrong with performances on the pitch.

‘He is a fantastic player but he has to do it for himself,’ he told CNN World Sport. ‘If they’re going to win the title, he’ll be the main player in terms of them doing that. ‘You hear a lot of people saying Jose Mourinho needs to get the best out of him but he needs to do it for himself and prove he’s at that level to help Man United.’
