Chelsea trainer Maurizio Sarri has made a strong revelation in the area of the current Blues squad that is lagging in. Media handle have suggested that the London based football outfit will go for a Centre forward. Higuain, Arnautovic, Icardi and Wilson amongst several names have been suggested by football pundit.
However, the former Napoli trainer believe that his squad is not yet up to shape and is considering bringing in a defensive midfield. The Chelsea boss revealed his disgust at the Chelsea midfield which lacks a backup holding midfielder at his disposal. Kante remains the only midfielder in that role with Bakayoko who is currently on loan at Seria A side AC Milan.
Sarri’s confession is not far fetched as Chelsea have lost thrice in a space of 6 games in the Premier League. Fellow London rivals Tottenham exposed the crack in Chelsea midfield as well as the vulnerability of Jorginho when on the defensive. Wolves exposed Cesc Fabegas while a more compact and calm Leicester City took all three point last weekend.
Kovacic, Barkley, Loftus-Cheek and Jorginho all are attacking minded players, while the only defensive midfielder available is deployed out position with double role of offense and defense.
With January on the horizon, Chelsea could make use of  the transfer market to plug this hole in Sarri’s squad, but it’s certainly not the only potential solution.
