Brazilian defender David Luiz has issued a warning to Chelsea teammates ahead of their visit to Anfield on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup. The Central defender have stated that the Blues must be in flawless condition to beat the Reds.
The Blues began their journey in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night with a third round visit to Anfield to take on Premier League leaders Liverpool, before Liverpool visits the Bridge in the coming weekend.
Liverpool have been dominant in current season, with seven victories in the opening seven games in all competition. The trashed Southampton last weekend to prove their superiority in the league.
Chelsea remains unbeaten in competition, but the Blues dropped their first point of the new season last Sunday at London stadium as resilient West Ham grinded out a goalless draw.

In an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, David Luiz said: “The best games are games like that”. “We are going to play against a fantastic team [Liverpool FC] so we need to rest and be ready for both games.”
It will be interesting to see the player deployed by Sarri on Wednesday night, with Garry Cahill, Victor Moses, Loftus-Cheek and Cesc Fabregas all eyeing a place in the starting lineup.
